Yard Cleanup in Charlotte, NC

Yard cleanup is a reset. It gathers debris that is already on the ground, opens up neglected beds, and leaves the lawn and walks usable again. It is the right request when a property needs one thorough pass more than it needs a weekly mow.

Three piles of leaves and debris gathered on a grassy field.
Cleanup gathers what is already down so it can be removed or staged as the quote describes.

A reset visit is often requested when a yard has gone a season without routine care.

Leaves may be part of a cleanup, but a dedicated fall program is a separate service.

What gets picked up

The visit covers downed small limbs that can be handled from the ground, leaf litter and sticks in beds, and loose yard debris that is not a construction pile. Edges can be redefined so the lawn and beds read as separate areas again. If the grass also needs a cut, add lawn mowing to the request so both are priced.

Yard debris removal is included when the quote says the material will be hauled away. A visit that only gathers piles for the property owner to handle is a different scope, and it should be written that way. Do not assume a trailer is part of every cleanup.

Lawn mowing is the weekly cut, not this reset

If the grass needs a schedule after the yard is open again, lawn mowing is the follow-up. Cleanup itself is the one thorough pass.

How this differs from leaf removal

Leaf removal is aimed at the autumn drop, often in more than one pass. Yard cleanup is the broader reset: beds, corners, and debris, in any month. A November request might honestly be both. Say which outcome you want.

What this visit does not take on

  • Standing trees, hanging limbs, or storm damage that needs climbing or rigging.
  • Construction waste, household trash, or anything that is not ordinary yard debris.
  • Pesticide sprays for weeds that remain after the debris is gone.

Garden maintenance after a long gap

A yard that has not been touched in a season can hide irrigation heads, edging, and plants under the growth. The first cleanup is often slower than the photos of a tidy lawn suggest. Describe how long it has been, and mention slopes or narrow gates.

Questions

Questions about yard cleanup

Can you haul the debris away?

Yes, when haul-away is written into the quote. If you want piles left for municipal pickup, say that instead.

Is a cleanup the same as weekly lawn care?

No. Cleanup is a reset. Weekly care is mowing and, where needed, bed maintenance.

Will you remove a fallen tree?

Limbs already on the ground, at a size that can be handled safely without climbing, can be discussed. Tree removal is not a service on this site.

How should I describe the yard?

Mention roughly how much of the lot needs attention, whether beds are overgrown, and if a vehicle can reach the driveway.
